Virtual Field Trips with Google Expeditions

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Taking students on a virtual reality trip under the sea, to Mars, or through the digestive system is a very easy way to engage your students. However, beyond the “WOW!” factor of virtual reality, you need to be able to use Google Expeditions as a true learning experience. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has teamed up with Google to provide virtual reality field trip experiences that will allow you to take your students into what they have been learning about in a meaningful and inquiry-based way. In addition to experiencing our virtual reality field trips, in this workshop, you will learn how to use Google Expeditions to instruct and enhance learning, how you can put together your own virtual reality kit on the cheap, and even how to create your own Expeditions. All technology needed for the virtual reality experience will be provided so that all attendees can participate. Join us as we experience and learn about virtual reality field trips!
