In this STEM workshop session we will complete an Engineering Design Challenge using the “Ask, Imagine and Plan” engineering design process. Participants will review the Teacher guides available on line at no cost at: http://www.nasa.gov/audience/foreducators/best/#.V8Q5k_krJhE . The guides are leveled to grades K-2, 3-5 and 6-8 and include all of the activities, material lists, Instructional strategies, protocols, tutorials, assessments and cross-curricular implementation.

Engineering Design Challenge:
Design and build a satellite that will orbit the moon. It must carry a combination of cameras, gravity probes, and heat sensors to investigate the Moon’s surface. The satellite will be launched to the moon on a balloon rocket.
The PowerPoint will be available to all participants. The PowerPoint will include all of the videos and activities including the tips and pointers.
